What is Royal Rangers

August 16th, 2010

Bethel Royal Rangers (RR) Outpost #1 started in 1977. RR has a catchy motto: To Reach, To Teach, and To Keep boys and girls for Jesus Christ. There are a total of 4 age-groups to cater to the different needs of boys and girls at different age, Ranger Kids – Age 5 to 7, Discovery Rangers – Age 8 to 10, Adventure Rangers – Age 11 – 14, Expedition Rangers – Age 15 to 18.  Its unique approach as a uniformed ministry makes it rather appealing to children who love the outdoor activities.

Every Saturday, 3 – 5pm, RR meets in GEC where adult leaders mentor/train boys and girls in areas where they can developed, through exciting games, bible studies, advancement and outdoor activities like flying-fox.

It has organized numerous activities for children with a view to building their character and nurturing their spirit. Below is some of programmed RR has embarked on:

  1. Yearly Mission Trips to Thailand and Philippines to serve and reach out to the people.
  2. Singapore Camporama 2004 where more than 600 children from different churches attended.

Junior Leadership Training Camps where more than 30 kids, age 13 – 18, are trained every year, with theme like Baptism of Holy Spirit, The servant-hood life of Joseph, Trusting God.

RR is under the leadership of Senior Commander Siow Rong Sheng. He is assisted by many God-fearing, children-loving commanders.
